Getting excited
Next week, if all goes well, I will swear in and become a Peace Corps volunteer. The next day I will be shipped off to Sheki. I'm glad I have something to look forward to during this holiday season. It's hard to be away from home!

Hi Jennifer,
Glad to hear that you are experiencing lots of new things and that you are integrating well! You being over there and truly making a difference to people's lives really makes experiments and data and scientific papers all seem so trivial. I am struggling trying to figure out what to do next with my life (it is not so clear as it once was), so hopefully I can figure it out soon and give back to society somewhat, although I don't think I have the strength to do what you are doing. Keep it up, you're amazing!
